2018 CAPA Online Education Program Starts on Sunday 1/7/2018.
The 2018 Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA) Online Education Program will start the first lecture at 7:00 PM Eastern Time on Sunday 1/7/2018. The program is organized by the CAPA Online Education Subcommittee. The online meeting routinely occurs Sunday every week, 7:00-9:00 PM Eastern Time. There will also be a hematopathology lecture series once a month on Saturday, 7:00-9:00 PM Eastern Time (the date of hematopathology series will be announced each month). The first part of the online program for 2018 will be on Gynecological pathology. Here is the tentative schedule for the coming lectures:
1/7/18: Serous Tumor of Ovary and Fallopian Tube: Diagnosis and Differential Diagnosis, by Dr. Deyin Xing
1/13/18: Hematopathology Series: 2017 SH Workshop Recap, part 2, by Drs. Jiehao Zhou, Gang Zheng, Yi Ding, and Wei Wang
1/14/18: Hematopathology Special Topic Lecture by Dr. Huanyou Wang (details to be announced).
1/21/18: Neoplastic and Preneoplastic Pathology of Vulva, Vagina and Uterine Cervix, by Dr. Deyin Xing
1/28/18: Endometrial pathology, the past current and future, by Dr. Yumei Fu
2/4/18: Molar pregnancy, by Dr. Yumei Fu
2/11/18: Ovarian germ cell and sex cord tumor, by Dr. Dan Lu

CAPA 2018 Annual Meeting on March 17, Vancouver, Canada
2017 Online Education Program Concluded with Big Success
With the last lecture of 2017 CAPA Online Education Program presented by Dr. Wei Jiang on December 10th, this year’s program concluded with a big success!
The lecture series had 30 presentations with a total of 6997 attendees joined the meetings (average 233 attendees each webinar meeting). We have also invited 7 speakers to give expert special topic presentations with a total of 1815 attendees in these special lectures.
The CAPA Online Education Subcommittee thanks every speaker for their great contributions to the Chinese American Pathologists Community and thanks all the attendees for their support of this program!

Mark Your Calendar: 4th CAPA Diagnostic Pathology Course, August 2018, New York
The 4th CAPA Diagnostic Pathology Course will be held in August 25-26, 2018 at Sheraton LaGuadia East Hotel, Flushing, New York. Meeting agenda will be published in a couple of months. Since the 2018 US Open Tennis Championships is going to be held in Flushing starting from August 27, hotels in Flushing are likely going to be sold out quickly. We encourage you to book your hotels early. In addition to the Sheraton LaGuadia East Hotel, there are a few other hotels nearby for you to choose. Continue reading
2018 CAPA Best Abstract Awards: Call for Abstracts
We are delighted to announce the Poster Session at the 2018 CAPA Annual Business Meeting that will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Vancouver, Canada, in junction with the 2018 USCAP Annual Meeting. At the Poster Session, the winners of 2018 CAPA Best Abstract Awards will be selected. We encourage you to submit your abstract for competition IF the first author of abstract is a pathologist-in-training of Chinese ethnicity in North America. The acceptance of your abstract by the 2018 USCAP Annual Meeting is NOT required. The deadline for submitting your abstract is December 15, 2017. Continue reading
